The kids had fall break last week, so we decided to spend it in Utah. We spent the first 2 nights in Park City at the Montage Deer Valley Resort, and am now forever spoiled. The resort was not only the nicest place that I have ever stayed at, but had the most accommodating staff. Mike isn’t high maintenance, except when it comes to his pillows! One night, when the staff came and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed for bed, he asked if they had firmer pillows (I love feather pillows, but he’s crazy and like them stiff and flat). They came back with three different options for him, with two pillows from each option. At The Montage, if you ask for one, you get two. And they have the cutest dog named Jonas who greets you when you come in, so the kids had a kick out of that.
During the days we hiked around the beautiful mountains that surrounded the resort, and at night we roasted marshmallows in their fire pits. Who knew you could have different marshmallow flavors?! Not me… But cinnamon is my favorite. We also spent time in their indoor bowling alley, their arcade room, and outside in the kids activity area. I was kicking myself that we didn’t take swim suits for their outdoor hot tubs… but I’ll have to do that next time 😉
The kids were freaking out at all of the fall colors and leaves. We’re deprived here in Arizona, and it honestly was so beautiful I didn’t want to leave. I’m trying to come up with reasons why I need to get back to Park City ASAP so I can experience that weekend again. Thanks again to every at the Montage Deer Valley who went above and beyond for us during our stay. It was better than I could even dream up!
