I’m not too sure why it’s taken me 29 years to make my way to Nashville, but dang am I happy that we’ve finally explored this place. I am IN LOVE with the city. The first night we got in we stayed in the cutest little Airbnb in East Nashville which is really up and coming and trendy. We didn’t get in until midnight so we crashed pretty hard, and then waited for 2 hours for brunch the next day. We walked around the area and then went to search for more places to explore.
Obviously I had to go and find The Bluebird (because I love the show Nashville and needed to see it in real life), and I couldn’t believe how tiny it was when we pulled up! And it’s next to a dinky little cleaners in the most random spot. It was nothing and everything that I wanted it to be. When we were going to get out of the car, Zoe said, “Can we just stay in the car and drive around?” Which is really saying, “I want to take a nap.” The girl slept for TWO hours so we drove around the most beautiful neighborhoods in Nashville and did some sight seeing.
It’s been on my bucket list to go to the Grand Ole Opry so Saturday night we did just that. I think we chose the wrong night because everyone except for three singers were about the ripe age of 80. HAHA… we we’re dying but it was a memorable experience.
Cracker Barrel sponsored one of the segments of the show, so one row won a big ham… and that row just so happened to be us. So we left the show with $500 of Cracker Barrel hams as an extra bonus 😉
We’re here because we have some exciting things happening with The Shine Project in Nashville, and we coordinated the trip with the kid’s spring break so that I wouldn’t have to be away from everybody for too long. I hate leaving my family.
We’re in love with the homes, the vibe here, and all things Nashville. Make sure you follow along on my instagram and snapchat @theshineproject to follow our trip!
Have any of you every been here before?
PS: We’re having a party Monday night here for our big announcement, if you live in Nashville and want to RSVP, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get the details over to you.
