I am experiencing the day after Disneyland blues hard core today. This past weekend if you follow me on Instagram @theshineproject you saw that my whole family went to Disneyland together. It was the first time in 16 years that I had been with my whole family… and boy have things changed since then. It was so much fun.
This time, I really was on a mission to try some new food because I am really crazy about finding the best eats wherever I am. There are so many options at Disneyland, some better than others, and I wanted to fill you in on the BEST things I ate that I highly recommend.
Here they are!
While at Disneyland, it’s so fun to schedule a character meal. There are different restaurants around the park to do this, but theres only ONE place that’s actually inside of Disneyland where you can eat with the characters. We reserved a breakfast for The Plaza Inn, which is the location inside of the park. It’s with “Minnie and friends” and is served buffet style. It was WAY better than I expected. Their omelet station and their french toast with caramel and banana syrup was a family favorite. HIGHLY recommend doing breakfast there.
Flos V8 Cafe in California adventure is also pretty good, and has really good kids meal options.
Lunch: I like doing a light lunch so I can eat more treats 😉
Corndog Castle in California adventure. I don’t even like corndogs, and these were amazing. Mickey mouse pretzels are always a good way to tide you over until dinner as well. Jolly Holiday bakery has great sandwiches, and the best desserts which we’ll get to in a second!
Cafe Orleans- You must try the Monte Cristo sandwich! There are no words except IT IS AMAZING. Split it with someone, and also order the gumbo soup to share.
The salmon salad and the jumbalya crepe is delicious as well… This is probably my favorite place to eat in the park.
Paradise Pier Cafe- Clam Chowder Bread Bowls
Okay, my favorite part…
Mickey Mouse Beignets from Cafe Orleans- The dipping sauce is also mouth watering, I seriously am craving these right now…
Cookies and Cream Churro- We didn’t know these existed until this trip. They are found in Cars Land in the Cones food area. They also have churros you can get with chocolate dipping sauce, but the cookies and cream flavor takes the win.
Raspberry Mickey Macaroon- These are huge and are filled with real raspberries inside. Found at Jolly Holiday Bakery
**Matterhorn Macaroon- You HAVE to get one. They are also found at Jolly Holiday bakery, I think this is my favorite treat in the whole park.
Frozen Chocolate Banana- Can be found at the ice cream vendor stands. I love these so much!
There is so much to try, and I’m sure I’ll add to this list on a future trip… but these have been my favorite foods out of everything I’ve tried there so far. I’m a pretty tough critic, so these really made the cut.
Are any of your favorites not on here that I should try next time?
